Soft landing, 2023, OTV
A speculative design project consists of a structure and a timeline. This work offers a vision of Korea’s future society inspired by historical research on migration deeply rooted in Korean culture.
According to projections by Statistics Korea, The number of migrants in South Korea in the 2040s will be 3.23 million, or 6.4 percent of the total population.
But as the migrant community swells, how significant are their stories, often trivialized, likened to ephemera like popcorn? What does ‘shelter’ really mean for those in search of grounded
belonging, and where should they land?

Monocarpic, 2022
‘Monocarpic’ is an exhibition exploring the realm beyond physicality through a shift away from the functionalist constraints of design. The exhibition curated by this question. Is it possible to design without physicality in mind?
Historically modern design and the human body have been inextricably linked. From Henry Dreyfus’s The Measure of Man: Human Factors in Design and Le Corbusier’s Le Modulor to deconstructive work and contemporary universal design, design and physicality have been inextricably linked and considered a priority.
